Facilities There is a separate music room. Both the Infant and Junior departments have well stocked central libraries in addition to individual class libraries. The junior library is computerised. Children are taught how to find information in books and how to make best use of libraries both in school and in their local areas. In addition to the computer suite the school has computers in various areas around the school and in most classrooms. Each class base has an interactive whiteboard. The Preparatory School is in close proximity to Loreto Grammar School enabling excellent liaison. Loreto Preparatory School was founded in Altrincham in 1909 but moved into a modern purpose-built school in 1971. The school stands in pleasant grounds which provide a natural resource for environmental studies. In addition to individual classrooms there are large shared working areas and a well-equipped gymnasium which also serves as an assembly hall and dining room. It is fitted with excellent stage lighting for school productions. The school was extended in 2004 with the addition of two modern classrooms. The refurbishment of the original building enabled us to create a large modern computer suite.
